Alienette Coldfire also known as Katchry Jewel Golbin in real life, once again impressed the judges and the audience in her rendition of Jacques Brel’s ‘Quand on n’a que l’amour” for her final performance in France got talent
The Filipina blind singer got 3rd place in the grand finals of the French talent show France a un Incoyable Talent (France Got Talent) on Tuesday evening (Wednesday morning in Manila.) Alienette earned standing ovation and compliments from the judges and netizens along her journey to the competition.
According to Alenette it was the song “La Vien En Rose” (Life in Rosy hue) by Edith Piaf that made her interested to learn French language. She learned to speak French in just three years through blogs and on line communities.
The 25- year-old blind Filipina has been singing since she was five years old. She’s originally came from Tapaz, Capaz Philippines. Despite of her disability, she showed courage by joining the competition that touched the hearts of the judges and netizens.
Two years ago, Alienette’s video of her effortlessly singing Mariah Carey’s version of “I’ll Be There” inside a mall also became viral. At the time the video became viral, Carey had just concluded the Manila leg of her “Elusive Chanteuse” tour.
Thus, France Got Talent is not the first contest Allienette joined. Year 2008, she was part of GMA 7’s “Pinoy Idol”. The judges were Ogie Alcasid, Jolina Magdangal and Wyngard Tracy. In a report by PEP, Ogie then recall Alienette’s amazing voice during the “Pinoy Idol” He also stated the story of how Alienette was able to join France Got Talent.
Hence, Her Filipino fans are still proud of her for making it to third place in the France Got Talent.
