Malacañang dares government critics to file formal charges against Vice Mayor Paolo Duterte due to the photos spreading online with alleged drug smuggler, Kenneth Dong, who was linked to the P6.4 billion shabu shipment at the Bureau of Customs (BOC).

Presidential Spokesperson Ernesto Abella said that what’s important in filing a case is the actual documentary evidence and not just hearsay.

Meanwhile, President Rodrigo Duterte promised to step down from his position, if any of his children will be proven to get invloved in any illegal activities.

It was August 07, when the President’s son surfaced at the House Representatives inquiry into the P6.4 billion shbu shipment.

Mark taguba, a customs broker mentioned the name of Vice amyor due to rumors that Paolo was involved in the transactions of a certain Davao group at the BOC bureau in Davao City.

According to Taguba, Paolo’s name was being name-dropped by individuals- a certain “Tita Nani”, “Small”, and “Jack”- he earlier implicated in corruption at the BOC. However, he admitted that he had no evidence against Paolo and that he had never talked to him.

Meanwhile, Senator Panfilo Lacson expressed the possibility of inviting Poalo to the Senate hearing on the shabu shipment if investigation found basis for his appearance.
