Annabelle Rama was overcome with emotions over her daughter Ruffa Gutierrez health condition during the press conference for their reality TV show “It Takes Gutz To Be A Gutierrez.”
It seems that Ruffa has been afflicted with a mysterious condition since 2009. Since then, no local doctor has been able to diagnose her condition despite a battery of tests. The results all returned normal.
In an interview with ABS-CBN, Annabelle was quoted saying “Sunod-sunod eh. Ipapa-check ko siya sa abroad. Kasi sabi ng doktor wala daw silang findings. Kaya sabi ko punta kami Singapore ipapa-check ko siya doon. Kasi sa kwento ni Richard, ‘Mommy, she’s very scary’ kasi siya ang witness. Gusto niya makatulong (pero) wala siyang magawa, kinakarga niya si Ate niya.”
Ruffa has a different solution to the problem. Following the advice of her friend Cristalle Belo, Ruffa be seeking the help of an ispiritista or faith healer soon.
When asked if she was possesed she replied, “Parang ganun yung feeling kasi hindi ko maalala, e, I was doing things that I didn’t know. Parang I was acting in a strange way… tulog ako.” She further added, “My mom thinks I’m baliw, sabi niya magdasal daw ako.”
She has lost consciousness twice this month with no memory of what has just happened. The last episode was frightening. Her mother described it as “Nahimatay na siya ng 5 minutes. Nabuhay lang siya eh.”
“I’m so happy you care pala for me, mom. I thought you didn’t care anymore,”quipped Ruffa to her mom. The mother-daughter tandem has been known for having a love-hate relationship under the public eye.
Eddie Gutierrez meanwhile announced during the press conference that Ruffa’s full story will be aired next season. This makes us wonder if this is just a publicity stunt they are pulling.
