A young Filipina was crowned as the Super Grand Winner in the search for Princess of the World 2016 during the 5th Anniversary of World Festival for Beauty, Talents & Fashion in Bulgaria where the search for “Prince & Princess of the World” 2016 held from June 21-28.

Elysha Dinn Rasay of Barangay Bannawag Sur, Santiago City was crowned as the first Princess of the Philippines last January. Thus, she became the country’s representative to Bulgaria.

Rasay was happy that she was the one to take home the crown despite having strong competitors from more than 40 countries all over the world, including Ukraine, Russia and Japan.

Ramsay said in an interview with ABS-CBN that she did her best to win.

“Ginawa ko po kasi ‘yung best ko kaya po ako nanalo. Tulad po ng sa question and answer,” (I did my best that’s why I won. Like in the question) she explained.

Ramsay earned praises in her hand-painted national gown. She also impressed the judges with her dancing ability during the talent portion.

She also made friends with other contestants who invited her to visit them in their own country.

According to Elysha’s mother, Ritchel Rasay, her daughter wants to be a model someday and she supports it. But she needs to finish her studies first.

“Mag-aral lang muna siya… Magtapos siya ng pag-aaral para kung ano ‘yung gusto niyang gawin, magagawa niya,” (She has to study first… She has to finish her studies so she can do whatever she wants to do) Ritchel said.

Elysha’s family is very thankful of the people who helped them get into the said competition.

The young beauty titlist will once again represent the country in another beauty contest next year. It will be held on the month of May in Paris, France.
